A Message from the President

Distinguished colleages, I am pleased and proud to be addressing you here at a meaningful point in the history of modern dentistry. We mark the end of the first decade of a new millennium with advances so significant as to change the face of our profession and in a more literal way, change the faces and improve the health of millions around the world - now and in the years to come. Implant dentistry started half a century ago with the discovery of osseointegration of a titanium screw and living bone. Without scientific base implantology could not have been progressing on the top line in dentistry until now.

This symposium consists of more than just a gathering of scientists, practitioners, and professionals; it represents a turning point in the dispensing of healthcare in the form of better dentistry, with its base here in Bangkok, Thailand. We are witness to a gathering momentum of great advances in our field and I am proud to be among you at this time to appreciate the wealth of ideas that we all have to share at this event.
